I have a question that I haven't found an answer for.
When I first started using Codesys it was Codesys 2.3 and my supervisor told me that if a visualization was going to make use of a variable that it had to be a Global Variable. I don't even know if that was good advice then.
Of course now I'm using Codesys 3.5. Does it have any effect to use local variables from a POU vs Global Variables vs using Visualization variables?
On the main page would it matter if variables from a bunch of different POU's are used, some from different tasks?

I've used variables from different POU's for the same visualizations and haven't had any problems so far.
