I noticed that the jitter of the fieldbus task increases a lot when re-starting the EtherCat Master. Simultaneously, the CPU load increases considerably on the RTE side.
After restarting, jitter remains stable (within +/-50 us) and CPU load also decreases to a stable value. Is this normal/expected? Are CPU load and jitter somehow intertwined?
The target device is a Beckhoff CX5120 running WES7-32bit and CODESYS RTE.
Thank you in advance,
Omar
