As it is negated, 3 means FALSE on the input of the OR block.
you can delete the OR block and keep only the NO contact.
Feels like a weird (3+negated instead of writing FALSE) temporary branch suppression.

This may seem trivial, but I can not find an explanation for the upper input type (with the 3) on the OR gate shown on the attached screen snip. Help?

Thank you. Yes, it is one of the many weird things in this program. How would someone even enter the constant to get the visual indication like that?
