    Hello everybody!

The question is. As far as I understand Codesys firmware for PFC200 is just a file for PFC linux operating system. Do I need to update Wago firmware and install Codesys after that, or Codesys firmware contains linux also?
If Codesys not contain linux itself, then what resources I need to monitor for vulnerabilities and how to update linux os?

    Hi,
no CODESYS does only contain the plc runtime the Firmware Image is delivered by Wago.
So you need to monitor the WagoFirmware and sure the runtime CODESYS V3 too.

    Hi,

Wago delivers Linux (debian) based controllers, hence Wago must also deliver an open source distribution (->Board Support Package).
Then eveyone can develop and modify the basic firmware image. Wago do not use "plain" CoDeSys 3.5 but e!Cockpit that is CoDeSys 3.5 based.
This means CoDeSys 3.5 could not directly be used with Wago Controllers. 3S Smart Software solutions has made PFC100/PFC200 distribution with CoDeSys 3.5 runtime inside. This would then be called a "Costum Image" for Wago controllers.
